“YELLOW FEVER”
colour only is when it isn’t
colour only does when it can’t
-----
a hazard sign, the middling between
go and stop
slipped up ; to cast a yellow
spell on the feverish
the jaundiced glazed signalling cuts a moon
into ochre pools, a rock that cannot
break, is not
rolled,
incisioning speed into pockets full of
time, unravelling,
slows, like honey,
wet, like a cursory
glance thrown in the backseat
colouring; that which drapes
what isn't held by ayes,
driven through a prism
breaks - slammed - so honestly on
stationary lies
